Anyone that knows me, will know that I’ve been on the wrong side of the fence for way too long. While many would argue that being out in the center is awesome and that they would like to do it too, I’ve always been on the wrong side of the wheel.
Seriously, if one more person asks me when I’m getting a drift car, I’m going to poo in my pants. Enough now.
I agree that it has been too long and now it seems that the stars, planets and wheel nuts have aligned to allow me to present the following video.
While we initially went with Drift Pig as a project name, we’re more inclined to call it Project13. As mentioned, we’re yet to decide whether it will be a restomod or a stripped out missile-style build.
Here are some images.
The day it arrived, driven to the East Rand from Jhb central without missing a beat.
Terrible taillight work.
Interior still in reasonable condition, small damage on the driver’s side bolster and tacky orange detailing.
Filthy, leaky CA18DET with 220 000-odd km on the clocks.
Aftermarket TB28 turbo with minimal shaft play on a top loader manifold – sits too high though.
Stripping the doors. Missing a driver’s side window.
Removing the gaudy orange coverings.
Engine bay cleaned up a little.
Looking to fit this bumper.
A little photoshop inspiration.
